How to Prune ANY Fruit Tree | Pruning Cuts You Will ALWAYS Use
Omg! This is actually cool I need to try this. However, let’s say I need more of something, what do you recommend? Home Depot can get expensive
Doesn’t the depth of which you dig affect the results?
Make sure that rain gutter isnt adding heavy metals. Have you tested the water? If not do so.
I'm not sharing this with my Girls. They are already on strike, I don't want to reinforce poor behavior. They have a roof and walls may come next year ... I said that last year and the year before.
Sift the soil from the sticks and rocks before your do the jar test.
Hope y'all like tomatoes
Very informative! Thanx
those birds are spoiled rotten ❤️🩹❤️🩹 ty for sharing and taking such good care of them !!
Buy a water breaker attachment. They make big fat drops so it reduces impact but you still get the full flow.
until my water bill went up $150 this month from watering lol :) Time to buy a water tank for rain water collecting! :X
So the bugs will harvest on the top😮
The truth. Grow your own food and ignore inflation.
Where do you get powder dish detergent
So what'd you do for the birds?! 😅
Work's if you water daily
Oh I know its mostly clay..yeah
Not a bad method. What I do is plant a tomato plant in about a 7 gal. container then let them grow to full size. Then when winter arrives I cut the frozen parts off and place a bag over the plant. Then the next spring you get to start growing your tomato plant with the roots fully mature. You will have tomatoes very quickly when the plant isn't even 3 ft. high. Repeat every season and stop buying a small tomato plant every spring. I also grow them in filtered sun. Works just fine or morning sun. Don't let the plant soil dry out and then water then dry, you will end up with cracked tomatoes that are still good. You will not get root rot. They will drink it.
Wao i just leaned something new and now every plant will be in trouble with me 😂
Holy moly you have nice lookin soil! I don't need to test. I HAVE SAND!
Makes sense - you want branching for the 2nd year berries and in fall you cut down to ground whatever made berries correct ?
Drip irrigation is the sign of a true afficionado. Water ( sustainably nutrient rated ) is the rare commodity .
R u sure that a dish detergent?
It depends here in California is 105 F some days. I water early morning 7am and at sunset 8pm. Then when it is cooler I water once in the morning and some plants need shade and die in this sun so I put shade. Thought watering too much does kill plant and may cause disease and watering the leaves may cause leaf fungus. And watering the leaf when noon the water will be hot and burn the leaves. That’s what I learned from my experience 😊
Arbors.
And how to storing them for winter? I try blanching 50 pounds potatoes last year as fry sticks & dice but they turn black when i cooking them. So how you storing them sweet pots?
Your information is so helpful for me. I realized I've been watering my garden too much. I also appreciate learning how often to fertilize. I love gardening and have been doing so for many years and have discovered we're never too old to keep learning. Also enjoy your happy personality and look forward to your tips! 😊
I’m glad you enjoyed it and I hope to hear success stories from them! Also love the feedback thanks 🙏🏼 keep on gardening 😁
Sweet potato glitch
Really, and I thought the way to grow them for free was to take some of the seeds from A tomato you were going to eat and plant those!
I bought treated wood for a ramp. An East Texas it rotted. What did you show all you did is talk.
Generational knowledge lost and rediscovered... How did you discover the secrets of farming? You must be blessed by the gods, Lord Cain!
Just sharing what was passed down to me and what I have continued to learn. I do feel Blessed by God to be awarded this opportunity to give people this gift!
@earthnailsandtails I'm not even upset that you're willing to teach, I'm just disappointed that these things aren't taught to kids by their parents or guardians or even in third grade biology anymore. I'm only twenty-three and I feel like I'm watching kids rediscover fire... Good on you for showing off your passion and trying to make it eye-catching, but God bless these poor kids who never learned this stuff sooner...
🤯😱
Sister
I tried it here in Idaho. They get about 1/3 that big.
Look for a source of food safe 55gal drums, so you can control your soil conditions and each barrel can yield several pounds of potatoes. Rubbermaid trash cans work fine too and are sometimes easier to find for purchase. If you start the potato with the barrel about halfway full, and keep burying it as it grows, the yield goes through the roof.
@@i-love-comountains3850 I thought it was the cool nights. I'll use your ideas next year.
We got a 18 by 4 foot deep pool on sale for 400 😂
It’s not about the size of how you use it
I need merch!
How many days ? Such a daydreamer. I have grown my own tomatoes.....what you showed ....how many days? Lol
Would love the plans
Trying to get gardening on my fyp
Your the best
Lol he pulled out a store bought tomato seedling at the end
It’s the sucker I stuck into the cell try
Matter of days? Yea I guess if you think 30-45 days falls within that description.
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it! I love tomato pruning 😁
He's right about scarring above a node but there's a better way to do it. Actually press in with the knife a little bit and make a small rectangular cut above the node and remove the outer bark.
Good stuff! Yes, I'd like to see your plans for this bed.
Wow amazing
My suggestion would be to put the cutting in a glass jar full of water leaving only top two leaves make sure no leaves touch the water and place it in a window sill for 5-7 days till it starts to grow roots and plant it in the ground. Same works for mints and basils as well. Also you can wrap up the cuttings in a dry tissue and place them in a box and refrigerate them and use them the next season i'd suggest doing this just before the frost sets in
Possible?
Powder dish detergent?
By any tomato plant he means an indeterminate type, you can't do this with determinate strains like San marzanos
love you! many thanks!!! subbed, of course xo
Welcome!!
